Brother Jamie D. Fields

t is often hard to determine that one individual Brother that stands out in the labors amongst many good Brothers at the end of the year to be awarded Master Mason of the Year.  As Worshipful Master, I wanted to relieve that burden of only recognizing just one good Brother at the end of my term by hopefully introducing a new tradition by awarding a Master Mason Award each Quarter.

    This Brother was raised in June of 2007 with only one other cable-tow.  Since then he has actively attended his regularly scheduled Lodge meetings.  He was then asked by myself last year to fill an appointed position of assistant secretary, who unknown to himself found that he would be filling the position of Lodge Secretary in a fulltime capacity.  At the end of his pro-temp position as Secretary, he was nominated and elected in a new position as Lodge Treasurer for the ensuing year of 2009.

    This Brother has stepped up and participated with several degree teams, assisted candidates with their Masonic lessons, and started to prove to the Craft his own proficiency by Squaring himself…  He has attended several outside meetings such as: Grand Master’s Research, Grand Lodge Mid-Winter in Macon, Ga., Lodge visitations, a Masonic Funeral, and many other committee planning meetings.

    This Brother has a relatively young family being married for only 5 years, has loving and supportive wife Mrs. Marqella Fields, a 3 year old son, with new addition on the way anticipating arrival sometime in the month of June of 2009…

    It is truly a pleasure seeing the Fruits of Masonry Bloom and Flourish inside of our younger Brothers…. This Brother truly exudes the Tenants of Our Order… Friendship, Morality, and Brotherly Love…
